About "The Briefcase"
"The Briefcase" is the working title of a novel in progress. The book was kicked into gear by the National Novel Writing Month challenge: to write 50,000 words in 30 days.

"The Briefcase" tells the story of Peter Bennett, an everyday hero who one day finds himself deeply involved in a plot of intrigue, high technology and international espionage. A few excerpts of the novel in progress can be found in the archives - check out the "Excerpts" category archive.
About the Author
Steve Maas is a German-English translator who spends most of his time thinking about how he can distract himself from whatever is supposed to be in front of him at the moment.

Like a lot of people, he always talked about writing a novel. Then he stopped talking and started writing.

"The Briefcase" will be his first novel, god willing and the creek don't rise.
